Multi Player Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Poker is a multi player poker game based on 5 card stud poker. Depending on the specific table layout a casino uses, multi player Caribbean Stud can be played with up to 6 or 7 players simultaneously.

An important rule of multi player Caribbean Stud Poker is that you're not allowed to share information about your hand with other players. By the same token you're also not allowed to play more than one hand at a time, as is possible in f.e. Blackjack. The reason for this rule in multi player Caribbean Poker, is that a group of 7 players that share information about their hands amongst them, can theoretically beat the dealer. This was proven by Peter Griffin and John M. Gwynn Jr, in their 1994 book "An Analysis of Caribbean Stud Poker".

In land-based casinos this rule is easy to enforce. It's a little different when you play multi player Caribbean Stud Poker online. It would be very easy to share information about your hand with a group of players. In general online casinos explicitly forbid you to chat about your hand with other players during a game of multi player Caribbean Stud, and you will have to face the consequences if you get caught.

But why should you even try? You need 7 players to beat the house. While these large tables may exist in land-based casinos, they don't in online casinos. For example, Boss Media casinos offer room for up to 5 players in multi player Caribbean Stud Poker. Even if you shared info on your hands between 5 players over the phone, you wouldn't be able to beat the house.

Multi player Caribbean Stud Poker can be played at Boss Media and Cryptologic powered casinos.
