Caribbean Stud Poker Software
On this page you will find a comparison between the various Caribbean
Stud Poker software variants that are available on the Internet. There
are many factors we could base a comparison on, like usability, speed,
betting limits etc, but we've chosen to limit the discussion to just
two factors, i.e. the house edge on the ante/call bet and the house
edge on the side bet. For each Caribbean Poker software version mentioned
in the comparison charts, links are provided to a more detailed discussion
of that particular Caribbean Stud software brand.
House edge comparison chart
The following table gives a comparison between a few Caribbean Stud
Poker software versions that are available online, in terms of their
house edge. The table is ordered by increasing house edge. Please
note that most RTG casinos use pay table I. Furthermore, the differences
in house edge don't matter that much, as in all cases the house edge
is rather high.
Progressive side bet comparison chart
The table below is a comparison between a couple of the major Caribbean
Poker software versions that are available online, in terms of the
progressive $1 side bet. The progressive side bet is considered a
bad bet, but this is not true if the jackpot is high enough. For each
Caribbean Stud variant a jackpot value can be calculated, that will
result in a house edge of zero. Jackpots higher than that value give
the player an advantage. If a particular Caribbean Stud software version
requires a lower jackpot value than another, to eliminate the house
edge, then we would prefer that software variant above the other.
Please note that we've not listed RTG in this table, because not all
RTG casinos offer a progressive jackpot on Caribbean Poker, and because
their payout table can vary between casinos.
