Caribbean Stud Poker Call Bet
A game of Caribbean Poker starts with placing your Ante bet and the
optional Side bet. After all players have done so, each player is
dealt five cards. You then have to decide if you want to Fold or Call.
You Call by placing a Call bet in the designated area of the table.
You would only Call if you think you're hand will beat the dealer's.
The Call bet *must* be exactly twice the size of your Ante bet (the
typical minimum Ante bet is $5).
When the bets are settled after a round of Caribbean Stud, there are three
possible payout's with regard to your Call bet:
 |
If the dealer doesn't qualify your
Call bet is returned to you. While you don't receive a payout
on your Call bet if the dealer doesn't qualify, you *are* paid
out even money on your Ante bet. |
 |
If the dealer *does* qualify, and beats your
hand, you lose your Call bet (and your Ante bet of course). |
 |
If the dealer *does* qualify, and your hand beats
the dealer's hand, you are paid out on your Call bet according
to the Caribbean
Stud Poker Pay Table. |
Tip: if the casino has a maximum payout on Call
bets, you should not make your call bet wager larger than maximum
payout divided by the payout (on one unit) of the Royal Flush. Your
Ante bet should be half the amount of this wager.
