Caribbean Stud Poker Ante Bet
Before any cards are dealt in a game of Caribbean Poker, you'll have
to place your Ante bet in the designated area of the Caribbean
Poker table layout. The most commonly found minimum betting amount
for a Caribbean Poker Ante bet is $5, but higher and lower minimums
are possible.
When the bets are settled after a round of Caribbean Stud, there
are three possible payout's with regard to your Ante bet:
 |
If you Folded you lose your Ante
bet. |
 |
If the dealer doesn't qualify, you're paid even
money (1 to 1) on your Ante bet. |
 |
If the dealer does qualify, and you poker
hand is ranking higher than the dealer's hand, you are also
paid out even money on your Ante bet. |
Tip: if the casino has a maximum payout on Call bets, you should
not make your call bet larger than maximum payout divided by the
payout (on one unit) on the Royal Flush. Your Ante bet should be
half the amount of this wager.
